In a collaborative effort, OMNNI’s engineers and geotechnical experts are studying and testing the different crushed aggregate base course (CABC) used throughout the state to determine the ability of each to provide pavement support. Findings will be incorporated into the Wisconsin Department of Transportation pavement design process, which will allow pavement designers to better predict the load carrying capabilities of the CABC layer thereby maximizing roadway quality and economy.
