This fast-tracked project involved converting a traditional 4-legged intersection to a modern roundabout. The intersection is in a transition area from rural to urban with existing development in the northern quadrants of the intersection. The design minimized the impacts to the developments as well as the large drainage way on the south side of the intersection. The roundabout will provide equal or greater capacity than a signalized intersection while being significantly safer.
