


Combined Locks Civic Center,
Combined Locks, WI
Provided architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil/site engineering, survey, and interior design services for renovations and an addition to the thirty-year-old civic center. The facility under went complete interior renovations including new mechanical and electrical systems, and all new interior finishes and furnishings.
Design includes an expansion to village boardroom and fire department (designed for 3 vehicles), and interior expansion to the police department, including new reception, interview and evidence rooms, bulletproof glass, one-way glass from the chief’s office, and security cameras. The flat roof was also retrofitted with a pitched roof.
Fond du Lac County Airport Terminal Building,
Fond du Lac, WI
The county airport was in need of a larger terminal building to meet the desires of a growing municipal airport. The 6,400 sf. design incorporates a large meeting space for community activities, pilot flight planning, and lounge for corporate pilots on layover. The FBO space allows views of the airfield and public waiting spaces. The entire space can be used during off hours and provides necessary security to private office spaces.
Park Shelter,
Combined Locks, WI
The 4,500-square-foot structure is located at the center of the park and serves multiple functions for the newly improved Memorial Park. The structure features a concession stand equipped with a grille, additional cooler space, food preparation and service area, and walk-up service counters. There is a central tower that houses an announcer’s booth that overlooks the three baseball diamonds. An indoor warming shelter is oriented toward future ice rinks, cross country ski trails, and sledding areas. A covered picnic pavilion provides shade and cover from the elements while exposing users to a panoramic view of the park and children’s play area.
Expanded restrooms adjacent to the picnic pavilion and warming shelter offer handicap accessible fixtures. Natural light and ventilation are integrated into the design, and the aesthetics of the facility play off of the architectural vocabulary of the Civic Center improvements on the same site.
