Barnes & Noble Bookstore,
Wausau, WI
A subtle and sleek design concept was used for this multi-tenant retail facility to embrace the feel of the Rib Mountain Marketplace area. The building elevation incorporates a tri-part façade with simple and dignified classical elements to create an urban street front as well as a dynamic backdrop to moving traffic. The overall cohesiveness is maintained through the use of strong horizontal lines, interconnecting rectangles, repetition, similar materials and colors. Decorative rectangular light fixtures enhance the vertical columns. Rooflines are clearly defined. The formal, balanced entrances are inviting through the use of monumental windows. The inviting refined exterior concept is directly compatible with the interior experience of the relaxed atmosphere of the Barnes & Noble Bookseller community center experience.

Marty’s Boston Crab,
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Design of this 8,500-square-foot restaurant was inspired by the client and his Boston roots. Design incorporates the look of New England’s old wharf buildings and light houses with unique seating in the lighthouse area and multi-level main dining room. While in the dining area patrons can experience underwater views through a 3000-gallon salt water aquarium which separates the room from the bar.
