Taylor Drive Corridor, City of Sheboygan
In October 2007, OMNNI was hired by the City of Sheboygan to lead the development of the Taylor Drive Corridor Master Plan. Taylor Drive is a major retail and commercial corridor in the western portion of the community. In recent years, it has experienced an increase in commercial vacancies, including the relocation of Wal-Mart to another part of the City.
OMNNI Associates is working with the mayor, elected officials, City staff, and stakeholders, to develop a Master Plan aimed at revitalizing the corridor so as to complement recent successes within the City’s Lakefront District. Through innovative planning exercises and abundant opportunities for public participation, OMNNI is preparing a master plan that evaluates current conditions, assesses the existing transportation and infrastructure system, reviews local and regional market conditions, provides architectural and design alternatives, and identifies desirable, market-based development opportunities within the mile-long project area.
