Freedom Area School District
Student Enrollment Projections
As a result of the direct involvement of the Freedom Area School District in the development of their comprehensive plan, OMNNI was asked to submit a proposal to conduct a ten-year student enrollment projections study for the district.
To conduct the study, OMNNI created a population-based enrollment projections model. The advantage of this model is that even moderate changes in the percentage of a community’s school age residents will not result in significant inaccuracies in enrollment projections. When tested against the projections model previously utilized by the district, the OMNNI model provided a more accurate predictive ability for future enrollments. By evaluating historic enrollment figures and trends, in concert with similar trends in the local population, OMNNI was able to provide the district with a predictive model to aid in planning for future facility needs.
Winneconne Community School District
Student Enrollment Projections
In 2006, OMNNI worked with the Winneconne Community School District to develop enrollment projections for the Winneconne and Winchester Elementary Schools, Winneconne Middle School, and Winneconne High School. OMNNI produces two enrollment models: one based upon the relationship between historic population and enrollment, and the other on established survival rates within and between each grade in the District. OMNNI also produced a blended alternative projection serving as a counterweight to the other two projection models. The District will use the projections to better prepare for future enrollment, and address future funding needs, during the next ten years.
