Packaging Facility Expansion, Menasha, Wisconsin
Design included a 47,000-square-foot building addition with building and equipment foundations and a masonry supported precast mezzanine.
Project also included coordination with the metal building and equipment vendors.
Paper Mill Tank Lifting Device, Upper Michigan
A 16’-0” tall ring on an existing 80’-0” diameter storage tank needed replacement. OMNNI’s structural engineers teamed with the contractor to design an efficient, cost-effective and safe lifting ring to be attached to the interior of the new tank section and a 50-ton lifting hub. The existing tank roof was also analyzed for lifting lug placement for removal and replacement.
The final design provided cost savings in materials and fabrication time. It also reduced the size of the crane required to facilitate the work.
Paper Mill, Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Project included removal and replacement of the existing concrete floor slabs for the installation of new equipment. The existing elevated slab and support steel were analyzed and modified to provide a sloped access path for fork trucks. A 5-ton monorail with a removable section was installed, and supported by the existing roof trusses.
Close coordination with the mill, equipment vendor and contractor, and on-site support ensured a cost-effective project that met all the client’s needs.
