WHAT IS A ROUNDABOUT?
A roundabout is a form of circular intersection in which traffic travels counterclockwise around a central island and in which entering traffic must yield to circulating traffic. A roundabout is a safer intersection type that offers slower speeds and fewer conflict points, resulting in fewer and less severe accidents, higher capacity and environmental benefits.
