Retrofit This - A Guide to Retrofitting the World
Center for Watershed Protection

Program Details:

Stormwater retrofitting is the art and science of inserting stormwater treatment into places where it does not exist or is currently inadequate. Increasingly stormwater retrofitting serves as a critical tool for meeting TMDL and watershed goals, with an emerging link between retrofitting and MS4 permits.

This webinar will:

  • Broaden your perspective about retrofitting.

  • Introduce a retrofitting practice hierarchy and describe how to find, prioritize, and build the most effective retrofits.

  • Explore how much land area in a watershed can feasibly be retrofitted and at what cost. This information is based on dozens of retrofit studies conducted by the Center and others in urban, suburban, and rural watersheds.

Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
Developing a SWPPP and the New EPA Stormwater Rules

Program Details:

This webinar will:

  • Inform you about regulatory compliance with NPDES storm water discharge regulations and provide information for development of an effective SWPPP.
  • Assist you in developing SWPPPs for construction sites.
  • Provide a discussion of enforcement examples to prepare you for an inspection focused on Clean Water Act compliance.
  • Discuss best management practices.

Build This - Stormwater Retrofit Construction Issues
Center for Watershed Protection

Program Details:

This webcast comprises Part II of our stormwater retrofitting series.

This webinar will:

  • Introduce the chief lessons learned with retrofit construction projects and provide some tools, such as construction checklists for various practices.

  • Feature nominations for the monst horrific retrofit construction disasters as well as shining successes.

Stream Restoration:
Implementation you Can Take to the BANK

Center for Watershed Protection

Program Details:

This webinar will:

  • Focus on the assessment methods to identify appropriate sites for restoration and the design approach used to meet the restoration goals and objectives.
  • Discuss several important factors for success including targeting the right restoration site, deciding what assessments to do, determining the apporpriate design needed, and carrying out the assessments that can tell us how the restoration did or did not meet the original project goals and objectives.

Get the Dirt on Stormwater
